Soft Wash vs. Pressure Wash: What’s the Difference?

Not all cleaning methods are the same — and using the wrong one can damage your property.

Pressure Washing is great for:

  • Concrete
  • Driveways
  • Sidewalks
  • Brick
  • Pavers

It uses high-pressure water (3,000+ PSI) but more importantly uses a greater volume of water to work away dirt, grime, and grease from hard surfaces. Up to 8 gallons per minute. Many inexperienced cleaners out there try to blast dirt away, and all that does is damage surfaces.

Soft Washing is ideal for:

  • Vinyl siding
  • Stucco
  • Roof shingles
  • Wood decks
  • Fences

It uses low pressure combined with specialized soaps and surfactants to gently break down mold, algae, and dirt — without damaging the surface.

Why it matters:

Using high pressure on delicate areas (like a roof) can lead to costly damage. Soft washing gives you the same clean look, but in a much safer and longer-lasting way.
